Procedure
- Elevates and tightens the forehead skin and brows
- Classic brow lift requires an incision across the scalp, at or posterior to the hairline, and allows removal of excess skin
- Endoscopic brow lift uses 3 to 5 very short incisions in the scalp and is preferred in patients with mid degrees of brow displacement
Recovery
- Moderate swelling, bruising and discomfort lasts from 7 to 10 days
- Temporary numbness and itching of the scalp
- Return to work within 1 week with endoscopic brow lift, or 2 weeks with classic brow lift
Result
- Restores a fresh, youthful appearance to the upper third of the face
- Result is not permanent but will last for 5 - 10 years
Risks
- Infection, hematoma, visible scar
- Nerve injury causing weakness of brow elevation, numbness, or asymmetry
